Terri Lowry, Founder of Thallo

FOUNDER OF THALLO DESiGN    |    Li    iG    FB    TW    PiN
Terri is a South Korean immigrant turned U.S. citizen now living the American Dream. She founded Thallo Design to empower under-represented businesses and organizations using the same strategies as Fortune 500 companies and ad agencies in New York City (NYC).

With over 17 years of experience, she has extensive branding experience creating best-in-class designs for the World YWCA, Viasat and Petco. After graduating from Parsons School of Design, Terri became an award-winning Art Director at an ad agency on Madison Avenue—she’s an original Mad (wo)Men!—and interned with the infamous Milton Glaser (I ♥ NY, Brooklyn Brewery and Bob Dylan).

After more than a decade of grinding it out in NYC, she moved to the warm city of San Diego to start Thallo Design, become Director of Design for Good for the San Diego chapter of AIGA and join the Advisory Committee, Guest Speaker and Reviewer for the Graphic and Web Design Masters Degree Program at the Minneapolis College of Art + Design.

In her spare time, she’s mom to 2 young boys, a rescued weimaraner/pit-bull & calico cat and wife to a full-grown architect. Proud to be an immigrant and daughter of a single-mother, Terri remembers her mother’s sacrifice with grace and leads her life by example. The American Dream is obtainable and she’s living proof!
